NADRA
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) of Pakistan is responsible for issuing all types of identification documents to Pakistani citizens, including the Family Registration Certificate (FRC).

The FRC is an important document that contains detailed information about the members of a family. NADRA is issued to citizens after verifying their records and falls into one of three categories:

  • Birth-Based FRC: Contains details of parents and siblings.
  • Marriage-Based FRC: Includes information about the spouse and children.
  • Adoption-Based FRC: Contains the details of the guardian(s).

It is important to note that if an individual is not registered with the National Database and Registration Authority. And do not possess a 13-digit national ID card, their data will not be included in the FRC.

Where to Obtain an FRC?

Pakistani citizens can apply for the FRC either by visiting a National Database and Registration Authority Registration Centre or through the NADRA Pakistan Identity website. Overseas Pakistanis can obtain their FRC by contacting the relevant office at the Pakistani mission in their country of residence.

FRC Fee

As of January 2025, NADRA has not changed the fee for issuing the FRC. The authority charges a fee of 1,000 PKR for the issuance of the certificate.
