NADRA Launches QR Payments and Online Appointments System

ISLAMABAD : In a move aimed at enhancing public convenience and improving service efficiency, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced two major digital features: QR code-based fee payments and mobile app-based appointment bookings.
In a statement released on social media, NADRA announced the launch of a Raast QR code payment system that allows citizens to pay their service fees directly through mobile wallets or bank accounts — without the need for cash or additional charges.

“Paying fees at NADRA offices is now easier than ever,” the statement read. “Use the Raast QR code printed on your token slip to make secure payments instantly via your mobile wallet or bank app.”
This new payment method is expected to reduce queues and simplify the payment process at NADRA Registration Centers across the country.
Pak ID App Now Offers Appointment Booking Feature
In a separate initiative, NADRA has rolled out an appointment booking feature through its Pak ID mobile application, enabling users to schedule visits to NADRA Registration Centers (NRCs) from their smartphones.
The service allows citizens to select the nearest NRC, choose a time slot, and secure an appointment in advance. NADRA recommends that visitors arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled time to ensure smooth processing.
The introduction of appointment scheduling is designed to reduce crowding, improve staff efficiency, and significantly cut down waiting times — a long-standing concern among citizens visiting NADRA centers.
A Step Towards Digital Public Services
These recent initiatives reflect NADRA’s broader push toward digital transformation and citizen-centric services. By integrating modern technology into its operations, the authority aims to deliver faster, safer, and more convenient services to the public.
