NADRA Visit Dhahran

RIYADH: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is expanding services for Overseas Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia. Officials announced a mobile registration team will visit Dhahran on November 7 and 8. The team will operate at Tamimi New Camp from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Saudi time. Pakistanis living in Dhahran and nearby areas can avail of CNIC issuance, renewal, or changes during the visit. The initiative aims to make NADRA services more accessible to citizens abroad.

Meanwhile, NADRA has developed special software to detect fraudulent CNICs in Pakistan. Authorities have identified over 250,000 fake identity cards, most issued to Afghan nationals. These fake CNICs were reportedly obtained through agents who added applicants to Pakistani family trees. Officials have started blocking the fraudulent IDs and instructed affected individuals to visit NADRA offices for verification. Legitimate CNICs will be reactivated once verification is complete.

In addition, NADRA has simplified the CNIC application process for all citizens. Applicants can now submit CNIC applications online through the Pak ID website or mobile app. Once processed, the identity card is delivered directly to the applicant’s home via courier. Officials said this new system saves time and reduces long queues at registration centres. Citizens seeking assistance can contact NADRA’s helpline at 1777 or visit www.nadra.gov.pk.

Furthermore, the government has announced that first-time CNIC applicants can now obtain their ID card free of cost. NADRA stated that citizens aged 18 and above who have not yet received their CNIC can apply at any centre. The first CNIC will be issued within 15 days without any fee. This move ensures young adults gain both identity documents and voting rights promptly.

Finally, NADRA has updated its CNIC renewal fees for October. The new charges are Rs400 for normal processing, Rs1,150 for urgent, and Rs2,150 for executive service. Officials said these changes will improve service efficiency while maintaining accessibility. The combined initiatives reflect NADRA’s commitment to modernizing services, curbing fraud, and supporting citizens both in Pakistan and abroad.
