NADRA warns citizens against fake visa websites

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has warned citizens about a fake website impersonating its official portal. The fraudulent site targets users online to steal personal information and payments. NADRA emphasized that this scam could mislead unaware citizens.
According to the authority, the fake website mimics NADRA’s official visa portal. The fraudulent site can be accessed at https://www.visa.nadragov.online. NADRA clarified that this portal is not affiliated with the organisation in any way.
Citizens are strongly advised not to access the fake website. They should avoid providing any personal information or payment details. Using the fraudulent portal could result in identity theft or financial loss.
The only official visa portal of NADRA is https://visa.nadra.gov.pk. The authority reminded users to always access services through websites ending with .gov.pk. This ensures authenticity and safety while using online services.

Separately, the National Cyber Emergency Response Team (NCERT) issued an advisory about similar scams. Nine fake NADRA-style websites were blocked in the past month. These sites attempted to steal personal data from citizens.
The advisory instructs users not to share personal information without verification. It also warns against clicking on suspicious links in emails or SMS messages. Vigilance is key to preventing cyber fraud and scams.
NADRA and NCERT continue to actively monitor misleading online activities. Authorities urged citizens to report suspicious websites immediately. Cooperation helps protect personal data and strengthens cybersecurity.
