Nazia Hassan’s Mother Muniza Basir Passes Away

Muniza Basir, the mother of legendary pop duo Nazia and Zoheb Hassan, has passed away after a long illness. Zoheb Hassan confirmed the sad news through a heartfelt Instagram post on Sunday. He shared a video tribute, calling her his “mother, love, and guide.” However, he did not provide details about her funeral arrangements.
Muniza Basir had been battling dementia for several years. Zoheb returned to Pakistan from abroad to care for her during her illness. The Hassan family had already suffered great loss with the death of Nazia Hassan in 2000 and their father Basir Hassan in 2020.
