Over 1,000 Hollywood Artists Announce Boycott of Israeli Film Institutions

More than a thousand Hollywood actors, filmmakers, and creative professionals have declared a boycott of Israeli film institutions.
The move aims to end any collaboration with organisations accused of supporting violence and human rights violations against Palestinians.
According to international media reports, the decision was formalised through a collective pledge signed by numerous high-profile figures.
Among the signatories are Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman, director Ava DuVernay, acclaimed actress Tilda Swinton, Marvel actor Mark Ruffalo, and filmmaker Adam McKay.
The pledge states that these artists and film workers will not participate in any Israeli institution or project that is linked to oppression or what they describe as “genocide” against the Palestinian people.
