Pakistan and Saudi Arabia urge full implementation of Gaza ceasefire

New York: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have jointly called for the full implementation of the Gaza ceasefire, ensuring uninterrupted humanitarian aid to the besieged enclave, early reconstruction efforts, and progress towards a two-state solution to address the Middle East crisis.
This appeal was highlighted in a statement issued by the Pakistan Mission to the United Nations following a meeting between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Saudi Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eng. Waleed Abdul Karim El-Khereiji, in New York.
During the discussion, both leaders reviewed the recent developments in the Middle East, particularly focusing on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the West Bank. They emphasized the vital role of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in addressing concerns of the Muslim Ummah.
Senator Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its longstanding relations with Saudi Arabia, underscoring the importance of enhanced economic and security cooperation. He also acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s remarkable progress under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, commending Riyadh’s contributions to regional and international stability.
Recognizing the deep-rooted strategic and economic ties between the two nations, the officials reaffirmed their resolve to expand economic collaboration, particularly in trade, investment, and commercial sectors. They stressed the vast investment opportunities available in Pakistan, aiming to foster mutual growth.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s shared commitment to deepening their multifaceted partnership for regional stability and mutual prosperity.
