Pakistan Announces 15-Member Squad for ICC Women’s World Cup 2025

The Pakistan Cricket Board has unveiled the national women’s squad for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, set to take place from September 30 to November 2 across India and Sri Lanka. The same team will also feature in a three-match ODI series against South Africa in Lahore from September 16 to 22.

All-rounder Fatima Sana will lead Pakistan in her maiden World Cup as captain. The 23-year-old previously guided the side in this year’s ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier in Lahore, where Pakistan secured qualification with an unbeaten run.

The selectors made two changes from the Qualifier squad, bringing in Eman Fatima and Sadaf Shamas, while Gul Feroza and Najia Alvi have been moved to the non-traveling reserves list. Other reserves include Tuba Hassan, Umme Hani, and Waheeda Akhtar.

Pakistan will play all their World Cup fixtures at the R. Premadasa International Stadium in Colombo. Should the team progress, both the semifinal (October 29) and final (November 2) will also be staged there.
