Pakistan Clinches First T20 Victory Against West Indies

Pakistan won the first T20 match of a three-game series against West Indies by 14 runs. The match took place in Lauderhill, Florida, where West Indies captain Shai Hope won the toss and chose to bowl first. Pakistan’s batters responded with a steady total of 178 runs for six wickets in 20 overs.
Saim Ayub played a key role in Pakistan’s innings with a strong 57 runs. Fakhar Zaman added 28 runs, and Hassan Nawaz made 24. Faheem Ashraf scored 16, while skipper Salman Ali Agha remained unbeaten on 11. Mohammad Haris also did not stay out with six runs.
Chasing 179, the West Indies finished with 164 runs for seven wickets. Johnson Charles and Joel Andrew each scored 35 runs. Jason Holder contributed 30. Pakistan’s bowlers kept things tight, with Mohammad Nawaz taking three wickets and Saim Ayub grabbing two.
Saim Ayub was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance. He said he always tries to fulfill his role in the team. His batting and bowling efforts were crucial in Pakistan’s win, especially under pressure.
So far, Pakistan has won 15 out of 21 T20 matches against West Indies. West Indies has won three, and three ended without a result. Pakistan now leads the series 1-0, gaining confidence for the remaining two matches.
