Sufiyan Muqeem delivered a sensational performance, claiming bowling figures of 5-3, as Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by ten wickets in the second T20I of the three-match series at Queens Sports Club on Tuesday, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead.

Zimbabwe’s captain, Sikandar Raza, opted to bat first after winning the toss, but the decision quickly backfired as their batting line-up crumbled under Pakistan’s relentless bowling attack.

The hosts managed a decent start with openers Brian Bennett and Tadiwanashe Marumani putting on a 37-run partnership in just 4.3 overs. However, Pakistan’s Abbas Afridi broke the partnership by dismissing Marumani, who made 16 runs off 14 balls.

Bennett followed shortly after, dismissed by Haris Rauf for 21 runs off 14 balls, including three boundaries and a six. From there, Zimbabwe’s batting lineup collapsed spectacularly, losing their remaining eight wickets for just 20 runs.

Muqeem was the standout bowler, claiming five wickets for only three runs, ensuring Zimbabwe’s swift downfall. Pakistan’s bowlers proved too strong for the hosts, and Zimbabwe’s innings ended at a dismal total, handing Pakistan an easy victory.

Pakistan then chased down the modest target effortlessly, securing the win with no loss of wickets, wrapping up the series with a 2-0 lead.
