Pakistan creates history, wins first-ever Asian U16 Volleyball Championship

Bangkok: Pakistan’s U16 volleyball team made history by defeating defending champions Iran in a thrilling final to win the Asian U16 Volleyball Championship for the first time ever.

Despite losing the first two sets, the young Pakistani team mounted a spectacular comeback, winning the next three sets consecutively to claim the title. The final scoreline was a nail-biting 22-25, 21-25, 30-28, 25-21, 15-10.

Mohammad Junaid and Faizanullah delivered standout performances, playing a crucial role in Pakistan’s victory and demonstrating nerves of steel in key moments.

This marks Pakistan’s maiden title in the tournament’s history and is being hailed as a major milestone for volleyball in the country.

Earlier in the semi-final, Pakistan defeated arch-rivals India, adding further prestige to their journey towards the championship.
