Pakistan Navy Seizes $972M Drugs in Major Operation

Pakistan Navy carried out a successful anti-drug operation and seized narcotics worth 972 million US dollars, marking a major step in its fight against drug smuggling and commitment to maritime security. This achievement highlights the Navy’s professionalism and strengthens Pakistan’s global image.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted by Pakistan Navy ship PNS Yarmook in the Northern Arabian Sea under Combined Task Force 150, led by Saudi Arabia. The seized narcotics had an estimated value of 972 million USD.

ISPR stated that this operation reflects Pakistan Navy’s strong resolve to ensure regional maritime security and stop illegal activities at sea. The mission was part of the Combined Maritime Forces, focused on stability and the fight against terrorism and smuggling.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the Navy on this major success. The President called it a proud moment and a symbol of professional excellence, while the Prime Minister praised the Navy’s officers and personnel for their dedication and global recognition.
