Pakistan Observes the Death Anniversary of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal

Islamabad – The death anniversary of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal, one of the key figures in the Pakistan Movement, is being observed across the country on Monday to honour his invaluable contributions towards securing a separate homeland for Muslims in the subcontinent.
To mark the day, various events and programmes were organised throughout the nation. Special radio and television shows, aired by both state-run and private channels, highlighted the visionary ideas and legacy of Allama Iqbal, shedding light on his pivotal role in the creation of Pakistan.
The day began with heartfelt prayers for the solidarity, prosperity, and well-being of the nation and its people. Citizens across the country paid tribute to Iqbal’s foresight and his dreams for a separate homeland for Muslims, a vision that became a reality with the creation of Pakistan.
Dr Muhammad Iqbal, born on November 9, 1877, in Sialkot, was not only a renowned philosopher and poet but also a powerful advocate for the rights of Muslims in the subcontinent. His thoughts and ideas continue to inspire generations, and his contribution to the formation of Pakistan is widely acknowledged as monumental.
