Pakistan is making significant progress in launching satellite internet services as the Space Activities Regulatory Board (SARB) has granted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Starlink.

According to sources, Starlink has fulfilled all regulatory requirements, and the NOC was issued after clearance from the Ministry of Interior. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is expected to issue a licence to Starlink within the next two weeks. The company has already submitted its technical and business plans to PTA.

Starlink has completed three key registration phases in Pakistan, securing approvals from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and the Pakistan Software Export Board. The final step is obtaining a licence from PTA, after which the company can officially launch its services.

Authorities confirm that Starlink’s operations will not interfere with existing networks. Pakistan introduced the National Satellite Policy in 2023 and further strengthened space communication in 2024 with new regulations.
