Pakistan vs West Indies: First day of first test concludes in Multan

MULTAN: The first day of the first Test between Pakistan and the West Indies concluded with Pakistan reaching 143/4, following a rain-affected day that saw only 41.3 overs of play.
Pakistan’s batting lineup faced early setbacks, with several top-order batsmen failing to make significant contributions. Shan Masood was dismissed for 11, Mohammad Haris for 6, Kamran Ghulam for 5, and captain Babar Azam for 8 runs.
However, Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan steadied the innings, with Shakeel making an impressive 56* and Rizwan finishing the day on 51*, both not out at the crease.
West Indies fast bowler Jaden Seales was the standout performer for his team, claiming 3 wickets for 35 runs.
