In a positive development for Pakistani travellers, the Pakistani passport now offers visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 32 countries, following a significant improvement in its global ranking.
According to the latest report by the global passport ranking firm Henley & Partners, Pakistan now ranks 100th globally, a notable improvement from its 113th position in 2021. This upward movement shows enhanced diplomatic efforts and improved international relations by Pakistan in recent years.
Pakistani passport holders can now travel to several countries without the need for a prior visa, including:
- Maldives, Nepal, Rwanda, Cape Verde, Somalia, and Togo, among others.
Many of these destinations also offer visa-on-arrival facilities, making travel more accessible.
A new bilateral agreement between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has also been signed, enabling holders of diplomatic and official passports to travel without a visa.
