Pakistan’s Defence Minister Lauds Armed Forces for Unmatched Victory

SIALKOT – Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif praised the recent success of Pakistan’s armed forces during a speech at a private school in his hometown, describing the achievement as “unparalleled in our history”.
Speaking to students and teachers, the defence minister reflected on Pakistan’s journey over the past 78 years, highlighting the recent military triumph as a defining moment. “This victory, granted by the will of Allah and carried out by our courageous forces, is one of the greatest in our national history,” he said.
He commended the Pakistan Army for its recent operation, hailing the bravery and professionalism of the armed forces. “Our enemy on the eastern border is reeling,” he remarked, alluding to recent border tensions. “What seemed like divisions within the nation just weeks ago have now given way to a renewed sense of unity and purpose.”
Khawaja Asif extended special congratulations to top military leadership, including Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber, Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza. He applauded their leadership, saying, “In all the conflicts I have witnessed since 1965, the determination and unity shown by our commanders today is truly unmatched.”
He also acknowledged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s steadfast support of the military, noting that the premier had “led from the front” and demonstrated that the government stands firmly behind the armed forces.
In a message directed at educators, the defence minister stressed the importance of teaching Pakistan’s history and instilling national pride among the youth. “It is vital that our new generation understands the sacrifices that were made for this country’s freedom and security,” he urged.
