PCB announces new venues for next PSL season

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced that new venues will be added in the next edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), as part of efforts to expand and enhance the tournament.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, Mohsin Naqvi appreciated cricket fans for their discipline and enthusiasm during the PSL final. He said the atmosphere at Gaddafi Stadium was remarkable, with fans showing great passion and energy throughout the match.
He added that he was highly impressed by the love for cricket shown by the people of Lahore. Fans supported both teams wholeheartedly and fully enjoyed the game, reflecting the strong cricket culture in the city.
Naqvi stated that preparations are already underway to make the next edition, PSL 12, bigger and better than the current one. He said plans include introducing new cities and stadiums to host matches, which will help promote cricket across more regions of the country.
The PCB chairman also mentioned that obtaining permission for crowds this season was challenging, as the prime minister had emphasized minimizing fuel consumption. However, he noted that the prime minister was also keen to allow fans to attend matches in stadiums.
Naqvi expressed confidence that the PSL will continue to grow in popularity and play a key role in strengthening cricket in Pakistan. He added that the league has become an important platform for showcasing local talent and attracting international attention.
