Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen tore up the PCB legal notice. In a video message shared on social media, Tareen said that the PSL management had sent him a notice asking him to withdraw his critical statements and issue a public apology. The notice also warned of franchise termination and blacklisting if he failed to comply.

Ali Tareen said he would not remain silent over such threats and that no amount of pressure could make him stop speaking the truth. He added that if the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) believes he will back down due to these warnings, they are mistaken. Tareen also mentioned that he is open to discussions to resolve issues but has not been contacted by anyone from the board.

In his message, Tareen expressed his love for the PSL, saying the league belongs to the entire nation. He complained that no one from the management had made a single call or sent an email to understand his concerns. According to him, the goal should be improving the league through dialogue, not intimidation.

In a sarcastic tone, Ali Tareen also “apologized,” saying that if demanding competent people in PSL management, questioning the player draft, training facilities, or criticizing the opening ceremony caused offense, then he was “sorry.” He clarified that his criticism was only meant to make the league better.
