Peshawar High Court extends protective bail for Bushra Bibi

The Peshawar High Court has extended the protective bail for Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, until January 16. The extension was granted during a hearing of cases against her, presided over by Justice Zahibzada Asadullah and Justice Waqar Ahmad.
During the proceedings, Bushra Bibi’s lawyer requested her exemption from attending the court due to her presence in Islamabad for the Toshakhana-II case hearing. The court agreed to the request.
The special deputy prosecutor informed the court that there were two cases against Bushra Bibi under the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) jurisdiction and one case under the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The court directed the prosecutor to submit an updated report on these cases.
Following the hearing, the Peshawar High Court adjourned the case and extended Bushra Bibi’s protective bail until mid-January. The case is expected to resume in the coming weeks.
