Petrol, Diesel Prices Increased for Next Fortnight

Islamabad: The federal government has announced an increase in petroleum prices for the next fortnight, effective from July 16 to July 31.
According to a notification from the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been raised by Rs5.36 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs272.15 per litre. Meanwhile, diesel has seen a hike of Rs11.37 per litre, setting the new price at Rs284.35 per litre.
The ministry stated that the revision in fuel prices is in line with fluctuations in the global oil market and the local currency exchange rate.
The new prices will remain in effect until the end of the month, after which they may be revised again depending on international trends.
