PM Shehbaz Sharif engages in bilateral talks with Danish and Czech Leaders at COP 29

Baku: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Denmark’s Prime Minister, H. Mette Frederiksen, on the sidelines of COP 29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Tuesday. The leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations in multiple sectors. According to a statement from the PM House, the two leaders explored opportunities for collaboration in trade, investment, agriculture, information technology, and climate change, with a particular focus on green transition and infrastructure development.
The leaders agreed on the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation and building a global consensus on climate priorities to protect the planet from climate change impacts. PM Shehbaz highlighted the 75-year diplomatic relationship between Pakistan and Denmark, emphasising the need to expand economic partnerships. The Danish PM expressed willingness to work alongside Pakistan to boost economic ties and address regional and global issues of mutual concern.
Following this, PM Shehbaz Sharif met with Czech Republic Prime Minister Petr Fiala to discuss avenues for enhanced cooperation. The two leaders focused on economic development and shared regional and global challenges. PM Shehbaz acknowledged the longstanding multifaceted relationship between Pakistan and the Czech Republic, which spans both bilateral and multilateral areas.
