President Zardari meets Prince Rahim Al-Husseini, expresses condolences on death of Aga Khan

In Lisbon, President Asif Ali Zardari met with Prince Rahim Al-Husseini on Monday and expressed his condolences on the passing of his father, Prince Karim Aga Khan.

During the meeting, the President conveyed heartfelt sympathies on behalf of the people and government of Pakistan, stating that the entire nation mourns the loss of a true friend and a great humanitarian. He expressed that the death of the late Aga Khan was a deep shock.

President Zardari also praised the role of the late Aga Khan in Pakistan’s social and economic development, acknowledging his visionary leadership which improved the lives of people in Pakistan and other regions of the world.

The President shared that he received the news of Aga Khan’s death during his official visit to China. He mentioned that he had come to Lisbon to pay tribute to the late Aga Khan for his lifelong humanitarian service. His contributions to humanity will always be remembered. The President also expressed hope that Prince Rahim Al-Husseini would continue his father’s mission of serving humanity.
