Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif completes Qatar visit, joint statement issued

According to Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, at Amiri Diwan in Doha. During the meetings with his Qatari counterpart, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, and investment.
In the joint statement issued by the Foreign Office following the Prime Minister’s visit, details of Shehbaz Sharif’s engagements in Qatar were shared. The Emir of Qatar welcomed the Prime Minister and the Pakistani delegation, and Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He also met with the Qatari Prime Minister, thanking the Qatari leadership for their support in various sectors, including the economy.
The statement emphasised mutual discussions on furthering cooperation in trade and investment, with Qatar’s Prime Minister discussing matters of mutual interest between Pakistan and Qatar and reviewing peaceful solutions to the current regional situation.
During the meetings, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended Qatar’s diplomatic efforts for peace in Palestine and the broader region. Both parties agreed on the importance of high-level exchanges between the two countries.
