Public Holiday Declared in Sheikhupura District for December 5 By-Elections

A public holiday has been declared in the Sheikhupura district of Punjab on December 5, in observance of the by-election for Punjab Assembly constituency PP-139 Ferozewala. The Deputy Commissioner’s Office issued a notification confirming the holiday for the day of the election.
The PP-139 seat became vacant following the passing of Rana Afzal Hussain, who had previously been elected to the Punjab Assembly after Rana Tanveer Hussain vacated the seat. The by-election will be held on December 5 to fill the vacant position.
