Punjab Announces Two-Day Closure of Educational Institutions

Lahore: In light of the deteriorating security situation, Punjab’s Minister for Education has announced a two-day closure of all educational institutions across the province.
According to the official statement, all private and government schools, colleges, and universities will remain closed on Friday and Saturday, May 9 and 10. The orders apply to institutions in both the public and private sectors.
“The closure is necessary to ensure the safety of students and staff. All educational institutions across Punjab will remain shut until Sunday,” said Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat.
He further confirmed that academic activities will resume as usual from Monday, May 12.
