Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Announces Medical College for Layyah

Layyah – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Friday announced the establishment of a medical college in Layyah, reaffirming her government’s commitment to expanding access to education and healthcare across the province.

Speaking at a ceremony organised for the distribution of scholarships and laptops among students, the chief minister emphasised that the project will begin without any delay.

“The construction of the medical college in Layyah will begin immediately,” she declared, receiving applause from a large crowd of students and educators.

Maryam Nawaz underscored that access to technology and education is a basic right, not a privilege, and assured the youth that her government is working to eliminate barriers in both sectors.

“I am accountable to you, the youth of this province. What you are receiving today is not a favour; it is your right,” she said.

The event, held as part of the Punjab government’s ongoing initiative to empower students, also included the distribution of laptops and merit-based scholarships to deserving individuals.

The chief minister hinted at more upcoming development projects, stating that further initiatives for Punjab’s progress will be announced in the coming years.
