Punjab Collects Data on Over 81,000 Flood-Affected People

The Punjab government is working hard to collect detailed information about the flood-affected people in Punjab. So far, more than 81,000 flood-affected individuals have been registered by survey teams to help estimate the damages and plan relief efforts properly.
Survey teams have visited 27 districts in Punjab where floods hit the hardest. floods hit the hardest. About 1,857 teams have worked on this task, checking on 56,207 farmers to assess the damage to their crops. They have identified over 53,985 acres of land affected by the floodwaters.

The teams also collected data on damaged homes, recording information from 24,246 houses that were harmed by the floods. In addition, they gathered details about livestock losses. So far, reports show that 1,057 people lost a total of 3,945 animals due to the floods. The data collection process is still ongoing.
To reach remote and waterlogged villages, the survey teams are using boats and other means to ensure no affected person is left out. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has assured that every effort is being made to collect complete and accurate data on the flood victims.
