Punjab government moves to resolve registrar shortage in hospitals

In order to address the deficiency of senior registrars in hospitals, the Department of Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education has formally asked the Department of Primary and Secondary Healthcare to promote 59 medical officers from grade 17 to grade 18 in a variety of specialities.
The Department of Primary and Secondary Healthcare has been encouraged to authorise the elevation of medical officers to the position of registrar, per an official letter released on Sunday.
This program is a component of the Punjab government’s continuous endeavours to fortify the healthcare system and guarantee that hospitals have access to qualified medical personnel.
It is anticipated that the advancement of medical officers would boost the effectiveness of healthcare services throughout the province and improve patient care.
The Punjab government is still taking important actions to solve issues in the health sector, giving the improvement of medical personnel first priority in order to give the people greater access to healthcare services.
