Punjab government unveils free housing plot scheme for homeless

The Punjab government has declared the launch of its program to give homeless people free plots.
The distribution of 3-marla plots to worthy and impoverished households was announced by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
1,892 plots will be dispersed among 33 plans in 22 districts during the first phase.
Faisalabad Division will receive 288 plots in four projects, Rawalpindi Division will receive 685 plots in five schemes, and the three districts of the Lahore Region will receive 518 plots in five schemes.
This program will also aid other regions, like Bahawalpur, Multan, and Bhakkar.
Areas like Chiniot, Jhang, Okara, Bhakkar, Vehari, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, and more are covered by the program.
Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister, underlined that housing the poor is a basic government duty and not a charitable deed.
