Punjab launches a wildlife recovery operation on Minister Maryam Aurangzeb’s orders.

Rahim Yar Khan Following the directive of Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, an operation to rescue protected wildlife is actively underway in Punjab. The Punjab Wildlife Department, led by Assistant Director Muhammad Sultan Anjum, tracked two suspicious camel riders in Rahim Yar Khan. Upon searching them, officials discovered a live fawn of the rare Chinkara deer and a Houbara bustard in their possession.

Both individuals were arrested on the spot and charged with violating the Wildlife Act. Following a settlement request from the suspects, they were fined Rs. 320,500.

The rescued Chinkara fawn has been transferred to the Rahim Yar Khan Wildlife Park for special care, while the rare Houbara bustard has been released back into the Cholistan Public Wildlife Reserve.
