Rain Expected in Parts of Punjab, KP, Balochistan: PMD

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast partly cloudy skies with isolated rain and thunderstorms in several regions. Gusty winds are expected in Balochistan, lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and southern Punjab during the next 24 hours. Hailstorms may occur at a few locations. Meanwhile, most other parts of the country will experience cold and dry weather. Citizens are advised to take precautions in affected areas.

In the federal capital, Islamabad and surrounding areas will remain cold and dry with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures are expected to stay low throughout the day and night. Residents are encouraged to wear warm clothing and stay alert for sudden weather changes. No major rain or storm activity is predicted in the capital region. The conditions will continue for the next 24 hours.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will mostly remain cold and dry, with very cold weather in upper districts. Isolated rain and thunderstorms are possible in Waziristan, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, Lakki Marwat, Karak, Parachinar, and nearby areas. Citizens are advised to remain cautious, especially in hilly and low-lying regions. Local authorities are monitoring weather conditions for safety. Most districts, however, will experience calm and dry weather.

In Punjab, most districts will experience cold and dry conditions, while southern and central districts may see isolated rain. Areas likely affected include Dera Ghazi Khan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Multan, Khanewal, and Sahiwal. The rain may be accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds. Residents are urged to stay alert during sudden showers. Northern and central districts will remain largely dry.

Balochistan will experience cloudy skies with intermittent rain, wind, and thunderstorms in Chaman, Quetta, Pishin, Muslim Bagh, Zhob, Ziarat, Barkhan, Sibbi, Kalat, Kech, Panjgur, Washuk, Kharan, Awaran, Lasbella, Khuzdar, and Gwadar. Hailstorms may occur at some locations. In Sindh, isolated storms are expected in Dadu, Jamshoro, Larkana, Jacobabad, Karachi, Hyderabad, and surrounding areas. Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will see cold, partly cloudy weather, with isolated rain in Kashmir. Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant.
