Rana Sanaullah Vows PML-N Focus on Progress, Stability

FAISALABAD –Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah has reiterated the party’s commitment to the politics of service and national development, saying that under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, PML-N has always prioritized progress over division.
Addressing a public gathering in Faisalabad, Rana Sanaullah highlighted the PML-N’s contributions to national advancement, particularly during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure as Prime Minister. He said Pakistan earned global recognition as a nuclear power under Sharif’s leadership, following a series of successful nuclear tests conducted in response to India. “When Pakistan carried out six nuclear tests, the world acknowledged our strength and dignity,” he said.
Reflecting on the past, the former interior minister claimed that Pakistan was free of widespread load-shedding and terrorism until political instability began after October 12. He said when PML-N returned to power in 2013, it inherited severe energy shortages and security challenges but successfully turned the situation around.
“Markets were once unsafe due to frequent bomb blasts, and people suffered from power outages lasting up to 20 hours a day. But the PML-N government restored peace and launched major projects like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), putting Pakistan back on the path to economic revival,” he said.
Rana Sanaullah accused political rivals of spreading misinformation to undermine Nawaz Sharif’s achievements. He questioned the credibility of rigging allegations regarding the upcoming 2024 elections, urging critics to first address the controversial 2018 polls. “The setup imposed in 2018 was a project that harmed the country,” he remarked.
Commenting on economic issues, he said that petrol prices and inflation were stable before the 2018 elections, but the following years saw a surge in corruption and politically-motivated appointments. He praised the current government’s efforts in stabilizing the economy, saying Pakistan had now emerged from crisis and regained global respect.
On national security, he lauded the armed forces for their effective operations and stated that Pakistan had delivered a clear message to Afghanistan regarding cross-border terrorism. “Pakistan has made it clear that its sovereignty will not be compromised, and any threat will be met with a strong response,” he added.
Rana Sanaullah concluded by affirming that no one would be allowed to disrupt peace or create instability in the country, emphasizing that national unity and development remain the PML-N’s top priorities.
