At least seven people died after the roof of a private academy collapsed in Sukheke town near Pindi Bhattian on Saturday. The victims include five children, while several others sustained injuries. Rescue teams arrived quickly and began a search and rescue operation. Many students and staff were trapped under the debris. So far, seven bodies have been recovered from the rubble.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Medical staff are providing urgent care to the wounded. Rescue workers continue their operation as fears grow that more people remain trapped. Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the collapse. Families of the victims gathered at the site, searching for missing loved ones.

Officials have sealed the academy as an investigation begins. Safety standards at private institutions are now under scrutiny. Locals are demanding strict action against those responsible. The community remains in shock over the tragic loss of young lives. Rescue workers said they are doing everything possible to clear the debris.

In a separate incident, a similar tragedy occurred in Swabi’s Gadoon area earlier this week. Four people died and seven were injured when a roof collapsed after heavy rain. The accident took place in Sarkoi Banda village. Rescue 1122 teams transported the severely injured to Bacha Khan Medical Complex. Authorities blamed poor construction and harsh weather for the collapse.

These back-to-back incidents have raised serious concerns about building safety across the region. Experts urge stronger enforcement of construction laws to prevent further tragedies. Both accidents highlight the urgent need for better infrastructure and oversight. As rescue operations continue, the nation mourns the loss of innocent lives.
