Saim Ayub travels to London for medical treatment following ankle injury

Pakistan national cricket team opener, Saim Ayub, has travelled to London for specialised medical treatment after suffering a serious injury during the second Test match against South Africa. The young cricketer, who fractured his right ankle while fielding on the first day of the match, will be assessed by top sports orthopaedists in England on Wednesday.
Accompanying Saim Ayub on the trip is Pakistan’s assistant coach, Azhar Mahmood, as part of the ongoing medical support. The 22-year-old’s injury has ruled him out of cricket for a period of at least six weeks, sidelining him from the national team during this crucial period.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed his concern for the player, describing Saim Ayub as a valuable asset to Pakistan cricket. Naqvi assured that every possible resource would be made available to ensure Ayub’s speedy and full recovery. “Saim is an important part of our team, and we are fully committed to his health and rehabilitation. We pray for his quick and successful recovery,” said Naqvi.
The fracture occurred during a routine fielding session on the opening day of the second Test in Cape Town, a setback that has left the team without one of their promising young talents for the next few weeks.
