Shah Rukh Khan’s franchise signs two Pakistani cricketers despite India-Pak tensions

Despite ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has signed two Pakistani players—Mohammad Amir and Usman Tariq—for his Trinbago Knight Riders team in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in 2025.
Mohammad Amir, a seasoned pacer, has already taken 51 wickets in 4 CPL seasons. Young spinner Usman Tariq impressed during PSL 10, claiming 10 wickets in just 5 matches for Quetta Gladiators.
Shah Rukh Khan, who owns multiple global franchises, including the Kolkata Knight Riders, has often praised Pakistani talent, and these signings reflect his continued support for cross-border cricket excellence.
