Shahid Afridi Slams India Over Baseless Allegations After Pahalgam Incident

Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has strongly reacted to India’s immediate accusations against Pakistan following the recent incident in Pahalgam, occupied Kashmir.
Afridi expressed disappointment over India’s response, saying that blaming Pakistan without a proper investigation is both unjust and unfortunate. “India pointed fingers at Pakistan right after the incident without any inquiry, which is deeply regrettable,” he stated.
He further said that Pakistan itself is battling terrorism and losing innocent lives in attacks across the country. Afridi also showed sympathy over the loss of lives in Kashmir and condemned all forms of violence.
Calling for peace, Afridi emphasised that conflict will achieve nothing and urged both countries to keep politics out of cricket. “Diplomatic dialogue between Pakistan and India is the only way forward,” he added.
