Shawwal Moon Not Sighted in India and Several Countries, Eid on March 21

The Shawwal moon has not been sighted in India, and Muslims across the country will celebrate Eid ul-Fitr on March 21 (Saturday).
According to Indian media, the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Delhi officially announced that the crescent was not visible anywhere in the country.
Reports also confirmed that the moon was not sighted in Lucknow and Hyderabad, where local religious bodies have also declared Eid on March 21.
Muslim scholars’ councils in both cities endorsed the decision, confirming the date for Eid celebrations.
Meanwhile, the Shawwal moon was also not sighted in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Bangladesh.
Authorities in these countries have similarly announced that Eid ul-Fitr will be observed on Saturday, March 21.
Experts note that weather conditions and geographical positioning play a crucial role in moon sighting, leading to variations in Eid dates across different regions.
