The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced that the Shawwal moon was not sighted anywhere in Pakistan, therefore Eid ul Fitr will be observed on Saturday, March 21, while Friday will be the 30th fast of Ramadan. This official decision provides clear guidance to the public, confirming that Eid ul Fitr on March 21 will be celebrated across the country.
The meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad. Members of the committee, along with officials from the Meteorological Department and SUPARCO, attended the session to review both scientific data and moon sighting reports.
In addition to the central meeting, zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meetings were also held in all four provincial capitals and other parts of the country. These meetings collected and examined reports from different regions to verify the sighting of the Shawwal moon.
