Shawwal Moon Not Sighted in Malaysia and Bangladesh, Eid on March 21

The Shawwal moon has not been sighted in Malaysia and Bangladesh, leading authorities in both countries to announce Eid ul-Fitr on Saturday, March 21.
According to Malaysian media reports, efforts were made across the country to sight the crescent, but no confirmed reports were received. As a result, Eid will be observed on March 21.
Similarly, Bangladesh’s moon sighting committee confirmed that the Shawwal crescent was not visible anywhere in the country after reviewing all testimonies.
Moon Sighting Committee Meets in Islamabad to Decide Shawwal Crescent
Officials in Bangladesh stated that due to the non-sighting of the moon, Eid ul-Fitr will also be celebrated on Saturday, March 21.
Meanwhile, in Pakistan, a meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is underway in Islamabad to determine the sighting of the Shawwal moon.
The session is being chaired by Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, with representatives from various departments providing technical and meteorological input.
The final announcement regarding the moon sighting in Pakistan will be made after the meeting concludes, which will determine the official date of Eid ul-Fitr in the country.
