Sindh Approves Housing Plots for Civil Servants

The Sindh government has approved a plan to give residential plots to serving and retired government officers. This decision was made during the latest Sindh cabinet meeting. The move aims to help officers build their own homes. It is expected to benefit many public servants across the province. The cabinet sees this as a long-term welfare step.
To run the project, the government has set up the Sindh Civil Servants Housing Foundation. The Sindh chief secretary will lead the foundation. It will guide the project and make sure the process stays smooth. Three serving and three retired officers will help run it as directors. This leadership mix will support both current and former civil servants.
The foundation’s main goal is to assist officers in building their houses. It will provide support in planning and construction. The foundation will also offer various services to make the process easier. Financial and administrative matters are still under discussion. These details will be decided in future cabinet meetings.
The government has already picked six directors to manage the foundation. They include three serving and three retired officers. The serving ones are the transport secretary, anti-corruption chairman, and a section officer. The retired directors are Gahnur Ali Leghari, Liaquat Ali Memon, and Rafia Haleem. This team will ensure good oversight and smooth progress.
This initiative blends experience with active service. It aims to create a strong support system for officers. By helping them build homes, the government hopes to improve their quality of life. The foundation will play a key role in this mission. More updates are expected as the project moves forward.
