Sindh Government Announces Two-Day Holiday for Easter Celebrations

KARACHI: The Sindh government has officially announced a two-day public holiday on April 20 and 21, 2025, in connection with Easter celebrations.
A formal notification was issued by the Services, General Administration & Coordination Department, declaring the holidays to facilitate the Christian community in observing their religious festivities.
In addition, the government has instructed that Christian government employees be paid their salaries in advance, allowing them to prepare for the celebrations with ease and convenience.
The move has been warmly welcomed by the Christian community across the province. Sindh Assembly Deputy Speaker Anthony Naveed praised the decision, calling it a strong gesture of interfaith harmony and inclusion.
