In collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP), the Sindh government has launched a free meal program for students in government schools.

In the first phase, 11,000 children in Karachi’s Malir district will receive nutritious hot meals daily. This initiative aims to fight malnutrition, improve students’ health, and enhance learning.

Authorities hope this program will boost school attendance, reduce dropouts, and encourage children to stay in school rather than work. If successful, the initiative will be expanded to other districts.
