The Meteorological Department has advised citizens to take precautionary measures during the heatwave. It has urged people, especially children, women, and the elderly, to avoid direct exposure to sunlight during peak hours and to increase water intake to prevent dehydration and heat-related illnesses.

Farmers have also been advised to adjust agricultural activities, particularly wheat crop management, in line with prevailing weather conditions. Livestock owners have been urged to take necessary steps to protect animals from extreme heat.

In Karachi, weather conditions are also expected to remain hot over the next three days. The city’s maximum temperature is forecast to remain between 34°C and 36°C today, while temperatures may rise to 36°C on Wednesday and 37°C on Thursday.

Meteorologists have stated that residents should remain cautious as rising temperatures may increase health risks and discomfort across urban and rural areas of Sindh.
