Moonis Alvi
The Sindh Ombudsman has ordered the immediate removal of K-Electric CEO Moonis Alvi from his position. The decision came after harassment allegations against him were proven. Justice (Retired) Shahnawaz Tariq, the Ombudsman, also imposed a fine of PKR 2.5 million on Alvi.

In the official verdict, the Ombudsman stated that Moonis Alvi harassed the female complainant and caused her mental distress. As a result, K-Electric must pay the fine within one month. The ruling emphasises the importance of accountability in corporate leadership.

Furthermore, the order mentions that if Alvi fails to pay the fine, his movable and immovable properties will be seized. This includes assets such as property, vehicles, or other valuable holdings. The decision sends a strong message against workplace misconduct.

The Ombudsman also directed that if Alvi does not comply, his national identity card and passport should be blocked. These strict measures aim to ensure that penalties are enforced. They also reflect a zero-tolerance policy for harassment.
