Sindh Universities Shift to Online Classes from March 16 to 31

The Sindh government has ordered all public and private universities to conduct online classes in Sindh universities from March 16 to March 31. The decision was announced by Sindh Minister for Universities Ismail Rahu. This step aims to reduce fuel consumption and manage resources during the ongoing global crisis.
According to the minister, the government has also reduced the use of official vehicles and fuel quotas for universities by 50 percent. These measures are part of broader austerity steps introduced by the provincial government to deal with rising fuel prices and economic pressure.
Ismail Rahu explained that the decision was taken after reviewing the international situation and the increase in fuel costs. He said that for the next two months, all government departments will also face a 50 percent cut in their fuel usage to help control expenses.

The minister further directed all universities in Sindh to immediately ground 60 percent of their official vehicles. This move is expected to significantly reduce fuel consumption and support the government’s efforts to save resources during the crisis.
It is important to note that after the rising fuel prices caused by tensions and conflict in the Middle East, the Sindh government has also decided to close schools from March 16 to March 31. As part of these steps, online classes in Sindh universities will continue during this period to ensure that students’ education is not disrupted.
