A tragic toddler falls into open manhole in Lahore incident has shocked residents after a two-and-a-half-year-old child lost his life. The heartbreaking accident highlights the dangers of uncovered manholes and raises concerns about public safety in residential areas.
According to police, the incident took place in the Raiwind area of Lahore. Workers had removed the cover of a manhole to clean the sewer line. However, the manhole was left open without any safety barrier or warning around it.
Police said the two-and-a-half-year-old boy, identified as Fahad, came out of his house while playing and accidentally fell into the open manhole. The child could not be rescued in time and sadly died at the scene.

Investigations revealed that two men, identified as Yaseen and Zain, had removed the manhole cover to pour sewer water into the drain. They reportedly left the manhole open, which created a dangerous situation for people in the area.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran took notice of the tragic event and ordered immediate action. Police arrested the two men responsible for leaving the manhole uncovered.
