Sohail Afridi’s unserious approach puts police at risk: Talal Ch

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry strongly criticized Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s decision to return bulletproof vehicles provided by the federal government. He said this unserious approach puts police at risk and ignores the real security challenges faced by officers in the region.
Talal stated that the bulletproof vehicles were of international standard and were given to help protect police officers in the fight against terrorism. He added that returning these vehicles is a childish and careless move that increases danger for law enforcement.

He also claimed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has failed to explain how it used over 600 billion rupees given by the federal government. According to him, despite receiving these funds, the province has not ensured the safety of its police force.
On the other hand, CM Sohail Afridi argued that the vehicles provided by the federal government were old and faulty. He said the safety of police is important, but low-quality vehicles cannot be trusted in high-risk areas.
