South Africa Defeats Pakistan in First Test Match

South Africa defeated Pakistan in the first Test match of their series in Centurion, securing a comfortable 148-run target victory. Despite a standout performance from Pakistan’s Mohammad Abbas, whose magical bowling spells could not prevent the defeat, South Africa successfully chased down the target to win the match.
Pakistan had earlier set South Africa a target of 148 runs, following a mixed performance with the bat. The national team posted 211 runs in their first innings and 237 in the second, while South Africa scored 301 runs in their first innings.
Mohammad Abbas, known for his skilful swing and pace, bowled brilliantly during the match but was unable to turn the tide in Pakistan’s favour. Despite his efforts, South Africa managed to chase the modest target, completing the win with ease.
With this victory, South Africa has taken a 1-0 lead in the two-match series, putting pressure on Pakistan to bounce back in the upcoming Test match.
