Tensions Rise Between US and India as Modi Ignores Trump’s Calls

US President Donald Trump reportedly tried to contact Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi four times in recent weeks.
However, Modi did not answer any of Trump’s calls, signaling caution and displeasure from New Delhi.
The development comes after the US imposed a 50 percent import tariff on India, the second-highest globally.
Analysts say this move has strained US-India relations, affecting the previously strong personal rapport between the two leaders.
Observers note that ongoing trade disagreements and unresolved agreements continue to fuel tension between Washington and New Delhi.
